And that book is either the Uglies or Lolita! 8D

Finally finished 1984. I'm not entirely sure what happened at the end, there. It was rather confusing. I am reminded of the difference in genres, though. 1984 took me a good month to read (though to be fair, part of that month was spent reading House of Leaves). I'm almost done with the Uglies, and I only read it for like an hour and a half.

I have no idea how long Lolita's gonna take me.

Yaaay finally finished House of Leaves.

I still don't get it BUT I FINISHED.

I really don't get the deal with Minotaur. And nothing in my book was red.

Dear House of Leaves,

Why are you so long? D= I have to return you AND 1984 to the library on Friday. I haven't even really started 1984 either. Which makes me sad.

Some love,

Me

Went to the library, yay~ Got an extension on my hold of House of Leaves, and pulled out 1984 since I haven't read that yet and I want to. Also went into Gamestop, and actually came out without buying anything! Yay me. Did find out that there's apparently a new Ace Attorney game coming out, though. And you get to be the prosecution. Meaning Edgeworth. 8D That has to be epic

 Hello, bookstore. Meet gift card.

Today I got four books (and they somehow completely spent my $50 gift card- two were hardback textbookish things, though, so I guess it makes sense.) Here's the list.

Rebel Angels- Sequel to A Great and Terrible Beauty. I think Tina and Lilia would kill me if I didn't read it.

Wikinomics- This is one of the textbookish things. IT LOOKS INTERESTING, DAMNIT. It's about massive collaboration via internet in massive corporations. Yes, I do think that looks interesting. Don't say anything. >>

Musicophilia- It's a book on the pyshcology of music, which I'm always a sucker for. This was the other textbookish thing. I should write my own music physcology book....

blink: Another physcology book. It's about 'the power of thinking without thinking' which I think means subconcious. It sounds really cool.

Wow. I didn't buy any manga.... and yay for physcology books!

I got five books today~ The only one I've started is 'A Great and Terrible Beauty.' So far, I don't like Felicity so much. She's growing on me, but not very much. And I don't like Pippa. An's ok. Lilia, Sarah and Mary kinda remind me of Orion and Laliku... I also got Grimm's Fairy Tales, Dr. Jekell and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstien, and the Princess Bride~ =D

So.

Yesterday, I went out the bookstore to get books for Neyya for her birthday, because that's what she told me she wanted.

Did I get them?

Yes.

But we also came home with a dog.

See, the bookstore is right next to the pet store, and every Saturday, the AARF (like AARP but with a letter different) have a little showing thing of some of their animals. So my mom said, "Oh, let's park on the other side so we can walk by and see the cute puppies! =D"

Bad idea, mom.

They almost never have small dogs, but they had one there that was a wired-hair fox terrier. His name was Buddy (one of four) and he was so cute. So I was like, "Elinor [our dog] needs a puppy friend. D=" so we called my dad and (somehow) got his approval to foster Buddy, who we have renamed Teddy. (Gettit? Teddy and Eleanor? Ignore that difference of spelling.) We're seeing how well he gets along with Elinor before officially adopting him.

Ok, I'm never going to get through 'A Conneticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court.' You'd think from the title it was interesting, but I really don't like it so far. >> 'The Picture of Dorian Grey,' however, is amazing. I hate Harry, though. D= HE'S CONFUSING POOR DORIAN AND MAKING HIM NOT AS NICE. D= Though, I suppose if he didn't do that, there would be no plot... A MINOR INCONVIENCE.

Also, in testing my traditional coloring materials, I have come to the following conclusions:
-My colored pencils suck
-I need new markers- I only have Sharpies and Crayola, and my Crayolas are dying.
-I love oil pastels. IT'S LIKE SMOOSHING COLORS TOGETHER WITH YOUR FINGERS. =D I want more. :X

Also, two songs that for some reason remind me of Organization XII: The Way by Fastball and Miles From Our Home by Cowboy Junkies. Both are good songs~ =D And The Way is stuck in my head. >>

Today was a good day. Because I went to the bookstore.

I got the new Naruto volume, and it amuses me for some reason. Mostly the 'Oh noes! The conversation has started! =O' part with Gaara. I dunno why. I know it's supposed to be foreboding and stuff, but when you call it 'the conversation,' it doesn't sound very menacing. Oh, and Shinkamaru still pwns. <3

Also got the new Death Note. Light is a genius. Evil, yes. But a genius.

I also got three CDs. Evanescence's 'Anywhere but Home,' which is good, but it's all live preformances, so it's kinda annoying. Also, 'Dare To Be Stupid,' by Weird Al with the Yoda song on it, and THE NEW RELIENT K CD. IT MAKES ME HAPPY. <3 Five Score and Seven Years Ago~
